Helsinki Ski Weeks offers both elite sports and leisure activities during a month’s time in 25 January – 28 February 2021. The event will be organised by the Finnish Ski Association's commercial company Nordic Ski Finland and its main partner, the city of Helsinki.

Helsinki Ski Weeks are set to kick off with a world-class cross-country sprint competition on 26 January. The sprint track is built around the Olympic Stadium and its surroundings. The sprint race is scheduled to fit into the competition calendar on Tuesday after the Salpausselkä race. This will allow international competitors to take part in the event in the middle of an intense World Cup tour. The list of participants will be filled with international elite skiers, including the Finnish cross-country ski team’s top athletes and future stars.

Krista Pärmäkoski is already looking forward to the event: “This kind of an event has been hoped for a long time. Not only we will have an exceptional invitational race but also a possibility for everyone in the capital to have the track at their disposal. No doubt, the track will activate schools and companies to organise sports days. It is unique possibility to be able to ski at the legendary Olympic Stadium."

The event will be televised in Finland by Yle. As a media partner, Yle broadcasts the sprint event live. In addition, Yle will cover a wider range of Helsinki Ski Weeks activities.

Ticket sales for the event will begin in the autumn.
