FREE TRAINING SLOTS FOR SENIOR CITIZENS AT OLYMPIC STADIUM
The Olympic Stadium offer trainings slots at the Stadium inside track for senior citizens free of charge from November to March.
The Stadium’s inside track, aka the Tunnel, opens on 1 November 2022 for the weekly use of the seniors (over-64-year-olds) free of charge. The open exercise slot is every Tuesday from 8.30 am to 9.30 am, and continues until 15 March 2023. The Tunnel is a 400 metres long inside track open for the seniors for a free hour to engage either in walking, Nordic walking or running, as they might prefer. The Nordic walking sticks must have rubber tips.
The Stadium’s locker rooms and shower rooms are accessible before and after the training hour. Closable lockers for are available both in the locker rooms and in the nearby corridors.
The corridors to the locker rooms and the Tunnel are accessible and barrier free.
The senior slots need not be prebooked but when you arrive at the Stadium, please sign up at the Visitor Centre (Tower entrance, Paavo Nurmen tie 1 00250 Helsinki).
With its weekly senior slot, the Stadium Foundation wishes to support and activate the exercising seniors, especially during the slippery weather conditions, and to offer them a chance to utilise the new exercise facilities.
